LEVEL disc chains: efficient, innovative and unique
Mulching chains are used with the main purpose of returning plant residues to the soil and preparing a better bed for planting. They roll the residues, cutting and dividing them into smaller pieces to accelerate weathering and microbial decomposition.
The chains play a valuable role by preparing a seedbed in fields that have been plowed and left lumpy or rough.
Many operations now use Level 6 for all their seedbed preparation, and some even use it for seeding. The combination of chain tension, weight, disc design and shape has allowed us to design chains to suit different soil types and applications, giving the machine its versatile nature.
CL2 – Cast Link Cutting Disc Chain
Powerful new disc for tough conditions and heavy soils.
A recessed interchangeable disc mounted in a heavy cast steel bushing with hook and eye coupling. The sharp disc provides penetration in the toughest soils, while the weight and shape of the bushing keep the disc cutting and controlling working depth. Heavy residue management and reliable weed control make this new disc our flagship product. Weight – 112kg/m, Spacing 8”.
